My baby has 99.5 temperature when checked by armpit. is he having fever?

A. 99.5F is not fever, avoid Overdressing increase breast feeding, and do check body temperature correctly, if it is more than 100F, it's preferable to visit your doctor, for further evaluation and exact treatment or management.
