Q.
my baby had fever n cold for few days...we took her to doctor...he said it's bacterial infection n gave antibiotics..still how long fever ll last after starting antibiotics??

Cold most of the time is a viral illness where there could be running nose sneezing along with cough and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration . steam inhalation will also be useful in this . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be used once a proper evgualuation by the doctor is done and according to the type of cough its prescfribed. if any fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the temperature and the dose can be repeated again after 6 hours if required .

Ankita MehtaMom of a 9 yr 3 m old girl3 years agoA. hi it should be subside by 3 or 4 days . so if it persist or if temperature remains same then please visit your pediatrician. it is important. keep your child well hydrated dress your child lightly keep your child in well vantileted room maintain good hygiene using Babyhug multipurpose cleaner
