Q.

My baby had cradle cap when she was around 3 months old. Although that settled on its own, lately I have noticed dry white patches (not very prominently visible) at the same area where she had the cradle cap. Since last 2-3 days she has started to itch her scalp but very occasionally. Is there anything I can apply to soothe her scalp and to reduce those patches.

A. your child is having cradle cap or seborrheic dermatitis and you have to daily apply baby shampoo on the scalp of the child during the bathing and do not apply any type of oil on the scalp during the ddaytime but only apply oil at the night time and within one week the cradle cap will disappear. cradle cap is baby dandruff and is a type of fungal infection

A. hi yes it happens because of dry scalps. you can apply coconut oil there. it will help to keep the head skin moistured and provides nourishment.
