A. this condition is also known as febrile seizures(fits/convulsions) many times prophylaxis medicines to decrease the chances of seizures is given by the doctor which may contain anti seizures medicine as well as anti seizures nasal spray. meet your doctor who will tell you how to use this medicines in an emergency. at the same time it is important to get the child vaccinated for all important infectious disease as well as flu vaccine which will decrease the chances of fever in your child this disease does not usually occurd after completion of 5 years of age at the time of initiation of fever it is important to give fever medicinesd immediately as well as give sponge bath to decrease the chances of seizures.
