Q.

My baby got his first dose of vaccination which is given at 6weeks. What precautions should I take to avoid swelling in the injected area and how much dosage of paracetamol drops should I give and how many times?

A. when fever and pain comes after vaccination you can give paracetamol to the child for fever as well as pain. paracetamol can be given maximum 4 times per day. you can also apply ice over the inzjection site. if there is local swelling you can apply ice as well as thrombophob gel. vaccine fever usually subsides in max 2 to 3 days but if it continuzes beyond 3 days meet your dr to rule out any other causes of fever
