Q.

My baby girl will turn 2 months on 7 April I am noticing a constant decrease in her sleep after malish in the morning at 9 she sleeps till 12-1 pm then when she wakes up she doesn't sleep the whole day and then going back to sleep at 1-2 am in the morning...which is like only 7-8 hrs of sleep. I have read online that the babies of this age sleep for 14-17 hrs. should I be worried about this or what would you suggest?

A. At two months, baby's sleep is largely governed by how often he needs to eat, but his own melatonin (and cortisol, the hormone that wakes us up) is just starting to come online, which can be disruptive to daytime naps. Stick to the routine of giving him a moment to fall back asleep before assuming he's up.
