my baby girl is month old, can i start feeding her cow milk as well. also she doesn't feed on her mother's milk.kindly suggest

ExpertDr. Mohammed imranPaediatrician3 years agoA. not advisable Cows milk or buffalo s milk can be given from 1 year of age till then it's advisable to get ve breast milk or formula feed you can also add sugar or dry fruit powder in the milk after 1 year

If baby does not latch for breastmilk Or mother does not have enough supply, best alternative is to give formula milk Stage 1 till 6 months and Stage 2 till 12 months. Do not give cow milk at all in this age as it is difficult to digest and feeding it may cause vomiting, lass of appetite and indigestion. Also, it does not have all the essential nutrients required for healthy growth and development.
