Q.

My baby girl is 5 months old. Till now she is exclusively on breast feeds. Now I’m planning to switch to formula feed. Which milk should I give her?what other food items should I offer her? I feel that might b her tummy was not full with bf.

A. If you do not have enough breastmilk supply, you can give any good formula milk like Nan Pro, Lactogen and Enfamil Stage 1 till 6 months. Semi solid foods can be introduced between the age of 5 to 6 months. Start slow with lentil puree, mashed banana, apple and pear puree, mixed vegetable soup, khichdi, ragi and sooji porridge, etc. Feed 4-6 spoons per serving and twice a day.
