Q.

My baby girl is 4 months old now, but she takes feed less than her age, only 60 ml every 2-2.5 hrs. At night she takes feed longer than 5 hours of gap. How to increase her hunger please suggest. At 3 months of her age her weight was 5.1 kg (Birth weight 2.4kg). Urine output - around 10 times a day, stool passes 2-3 times a day. I have heard the babies of her age take 120-150 ml milk but my girl is only taking 60 ml. I am concerned about her nutrition. She is on the complete formula milk_Dexolac. How to increase her hunger ? If I try to feed more, she just vomits all the milk. I don't want to force feed her.

A. Hello mom every baby has their own capacity and hencr give them as much they can take , also formula milk are quite filling in nature , monthly weight gain is expected to almost be in the range of 300 gm to 1 kg and by age of 4 to 6 months they double it

A. hi no need to feed more please understand the thing that each baby is different and having own different appetite so though child seems taking less Feeds, if your child is happy and active, gains enough weight, passes urine at least 7 or 8 times in a day then no need to worry about it much
