Q.
My baby girl is 2.4 years old and since few days she is not pooping daily ,alternate days she does and is pressing her below chest area. Between stomach and chest. I don’t know if she is feeling gastric or constipated. I have consulted a doc. He prescribed sorbiline, duphlac, rantac. Shall I continue with these syrups or what should I do?

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. The problem of constipation will decrease with proper diet modification that is plenty of waterx and fibre diet and try to give more papaya oats and fennel seeds water to the child.
You may have to give a course of constipation medicine to the child to stabilize the child from the pain.
Constipation usuallyx decreases with increasing age of the child and medicines give only symptomatic relief.
