Q.

My baby girl is 13 months old and weighs 8.1 kgs. 2.8 kgs was her birth weight. She refuses solid food. Tried offering different types of food but still no use. People keep telling me that first feed and it's okay even if I don't eat. It hurts when I hear this from people around me. But she is an active baby, reached all her milestones before time. I have no complaints but somewhere I feel terrible when people pass comments about her weight. Please guide me to increase her weight.

A. Namaste Mom One of the best things is that the child has been active for the age and reaching all the milestones on time and that itself gives that she is growing well as far as weight is considered toddlers normally triple their birth weight by the age of 1. and later it doubles by the age of 5, also this age around they undergo teething phase and in this there is loss of appetite as well and their over all intake of food is low make the child sit along when you are eating give the same food that you eat people will only pass comment but as a mother can assure that your child is well and in your eyes it is then nothing should matter hear and let the comments pass out
