My baby girl born prematurely at 32 weeks of gestation. Now she is 82 days old. She is having something like white discharge in her genital, what could be the cure to stop it? Also she is passing lot of stinky gas but not pooping since 4 days, please help what should I do?

A. Hello, it is because of the mother's leftover hormones from pregnancy. the discharge is completely normal, it does not hurt your baby, You can simply clean the area with a wet wipe, being sure to wipe the discharge from front to back.

A. The vagina is designed to be moist, so discharge at every age is normal. Typically you will see only small amounts in infants and young children, and it is usually clear, white, or slightly yellow and odorless. Persistent vaginal discharge in children can be a sign of infection.
