A. meet dr they are fontanelle and usually they will close by maximum 18 months of age and only sometimes by 2 years of age. they are normally present in all infants and is important for the development growth of the brain it is important to see that the child is not suffering from calcium and vitamin d deficiency as well as the child is not having any other complaints because their deficiency is the commxon cause of delayed closure of fontanelle.

A. This should usually filled by the age of 17 months it’s high time that you consult your doctor for a physical evaluation to understand if there’s any issue that needs to be taken care of and accordingly they will guide you after evaluating your child
