Use a gentle, fragrance-free diaper rash cream or ointment to protect and heal the skin. Avoid using harsh soaps or wipes with alcohol, and consider giving your baby some diaper-free time each day to let the skin breathe. If the rash persists, worsens, or is accompanied by fever or blisters, it’s best to consult your pediatrician to rule out any underlying conditions, such as an allergy or infection.
