Q.

my baby bumped his head falling on the edge of the bed...it's not a corner but the edge is sharp...it's seems a bit swollen on the spot which is the back of his head....will it be a problem by any means?

A. it is important to keep the child for observation for at least 48 hours and if the child develops danger signs like severe headache or excessive crying or excessive vomiting or abnormal movements or lethargy or seizures then kindly meet your doctor immediately for examination. if none of above danger signs are present tshen you can follow wait and watch policy for pain you can give paracetamol which will help in also decreasidng swelling on the head. also apply ice locally.

A. If the swelling is there that means your child has got hurt so take some ice cubes and take it into a hand or a towel and put it onto that area that’s going to help in settling down the swelling give paracetamol for pain relieving and still if you see any odd behaviour within 24 hours then check with your doctor
