Q.

My baby boy Prachet is 6month old. I think his sleep timings are very less. If he sleeps anytime in day, he sleeps max to max for 1 hour and not more than that Is it common in children? Because I heard that children sleep for most of the time

A. If your baby is sleeping very little during the day, with naps lasting only about 1 to 2 hours at most, it can affect his mood and overall growth. At 11 months, babies typically need around 2-3 hours of daytime sleep in addition to their nighttime sleep. Try to create a calm and consistent nap routine in a quiet, dark, and comfortable environment to encourage longer naps. Avoid overstimulation before sleep time and watch for signs of tiredness like rubbing eyes or yawning to put him down earlier. If sleep problems persist or affect his health, consult your pediatrician for further guidance.
