Q.

My baby boy is 8 months old. Now he got cold and too much cough. We concerned doctor and we are using medicines from 4 days onwards... But still cough is not decreasing.. What I have to do?? He is loosing his weight also.. He don't have fever.

A. Cough is a response of the body defence mechanism where the respiratory tract tries to expel the external factors by producing excess of mucous and cough reflex. Most ocgf the times it's infective in origin . Viral infection are most common. A proper examination is required before giving any medication. Antitussive / bronchodilator/ expectorant medicine are given as per need.

A. Nebulise Your child at least two times in a day for 3 to 5 days that Is have definitely going to help because with nebulising you will see that the cold cough which has been settled and congestion which is there in the chest and throat will start melting
