Q.

#asktheexpert my baby boy is 5 months old. Yesterday morning, he woke up with swollen eye lid and by the evening, a yellow watery discharge started coming from both the eyes. after discussing with pediatrician, we started using eye drop "Toba" but no relief and even his eyes become more red. is the medicine correct or should use some other one.

A. please continue with the medicine as medicine is correct..also it takes atlst 3days to treat the infection..please wash hands if baby rubs or touches the eye..don't let baby rub eyes..also clean the eye everytime with plain water and soft wet cotton cloth if there is any discharge! also feed baby regularly and make sure your nipple doesn't touch baby's eye during the feed or after feed
