my baby boy is 5 months old and he has gained only 500gm of weight compared to his last month is it normal? he is entirely on my feed no formula feed.

A. Namaste Mom, Yes that is fine as it is expected to monthly gain in the range of 400 gm to 1 kg and by the age of 4 to 6 months they double their birth weight, also the right age to start to introduce them to weaning foods and alternate with your feed

A. So how much was your child gaining till now that you have not stated clearly so I must tell you a minimum gain of 500 g expected to be seen every month which is genuinely healthy so that is that means a child is still gaining well not a problem
