My baby boy is 4 month old but he hasn't done potty for the last 10 days. What could be the problem and do I need to consult to the doctor?

A. It is very normal for small children that sometimes they will not pass stool for 10 days also and sometimes they will pass stool more than 7 to 8 times per day. If the consistency of the stool is Semi solid to semi liquid do not worry about the frequency of the stool. No medicines needs to be given in such a case but you have to meet the doctor only if the stool consistency is hard. It is advisable to give only milk to the child and nothing else before completion of 6 months of age. intermittent crying of the child is due to colic pain and not due to constipation. so not needed
