My baby boy is 3 months old. He doesn't sleep without a pacifier at all. He tries to suck his own hands/fingers if pacifier is not given but that takes his attention away from sleep. Should I wean him off the pacifier? Is pacifier good for the baby? What are the short term and long term side-effects.

A. there is no problem in using pacifier / nipple if cleaned. the problem arisesc when it falls down and goes again inside the oral cavity of the child without proper cleaning and sterilization. if it is not cleaned and goes in the oral cavity can cause infectionc and cough and cold and loose motion
