Good Growth of the child is very important and for this most important is that child should take a healthy diet where its necessary to give a balance diet which should contain all the nutrition required. This is very important for building the immunity also.
Encourage for green vegetables fruits dairy products all kinds of dal and other protein containing food items like soyabean eggs etc.
Some nutritional deficiencies can be a cause for less appetite like iron deficiency which is most common.fz
Supplements like iron supplements and multivxitamin with lysine like syp zincovit CL can be given for 1-2 months to increase the appetite.
Diet counselling is also very important .

I think you should go ahead with giving more or veg and non-veg protein to the child in this case I think non-vegetarian is going to support more along with that you should go ahead with giving all kind of dry fruits and nuts to the child and also you should go ahead with Iron and multivitamin supplement
