Q.

my baby born on 3 nov opv on the same day and hepatitis b on 5th day but BCG on 17th ....govt vaccine.....so....they should be post poned ...my baby week vaccination ... my baby get vaccination on 63 days ..now he is vaccinated with penta vaccine...he got high fever ...i give paracetamol syrup drops for every 4 hours... i give 4 times ...fever is not controlled what should i do pls suggest

A. thank u so much sir....he got late vaccination is it ok sir .... 6 week vaccination at 8th week

A. when fever comes after vaccination you can give paracetamol to the child for fever as well as pain. paracetamol can be given maximum 4 times per day. you can also apply ice over the injection site. if there is local swelling you you can apply ice as well as thrombophob gel. vaccine fever usually subsides in max 2 to 3 days but if it continues beyond 3 days meet your dr to rule out any other causes of fever
