A. Dear mum, a weight gain of 2 kg in 3 months is a normal weight gain, do not worry. Baby should gain at least 500 grams per month and should double the birth weight by 6 months. For healthy weight gain, you should exclusively breastfeed till 6 months complete. At one episode of breast feeding, feed from only one breast so that baby receives fat rich hindmilk which will help in weight gain.
