My baby 6 weeks old is suffering with blocked tear duct for right eye from the day one onwards even though we are using drops suggested by doctor please help me to overcome the problem ,what can we do to unblock tear ducts

ExpertDr. Hemendra GuptaPaediatrician7 years agoA. the blocked tear duct csn not be opened by the eye drops and goes this yiu have to use massage techniques so I would suggest you to consult a pediatrician or an ophthalmologist to have a detailed physical examination of your child and relevant treatment accordingly

ExpertDr Disha PatelAyurvedic Physician7 years agoA. Hello...watery eyes are normal condition in early age..baby's tear duct may not have fully developed yet. You can remove any sticky liquid or crusting by bathing her eye with cooled boiled water and cotton wool. Do massaging the tear duct area twice or thrice a day. Apply medium pressure with clean index finger to the part of your baby's eye closest to the nose and massage downward, toward the nose.
