A. Hi Mom, The small tears are the most common cause of blood in baby's stool. They can occur when a baby passes a hard stool or if she is has a more runny stool, which abrades the sensitive tissue that lines her anus. It's generally believed that a milk only diet causes a more runny stools.
Stools with blood can be caused by many different conditions.
If your child are experiencing bloody stools or bleeding from a bowel movement, you may need to see a doctor.
Seek immediate medical attention if your child experiencing fever, vomitting, or seeing large amounts of blood in stool.
