Q.

my baby, 2 and a half years old , has a cough. she has no cough in the daytime when she is sleeping. The cough is coming again, and again, I have already given a cough and antibiotics syrup in 3 days , but no changes .

A. it appears to be allergic cough/cold. they can be associated with temperature variations around the body (hot to cold or cold to hot environmental changes) which the body cannot sustain leading to cough usually at evening /night and morning. requires examination and start anti allergic medicines. meet dr and prevent such temperature variations. there is a possibility of starting anti allergic medicines for at least one monthh and the doctor will decide if the child needs inhaler therapy or nebulization. when allergies are not controlled they can lead to intermittent respiratory infections which needs other medicine

A. hi please keep your child well hydrated avoid giving oily, cold and sugary food items give tiny piece of ginger with pinch of salt and few drops of lemon juice to keep in Mouth before sleep time keep your child head slightly elevated while sleeping
