Be careful when lifting - don't bend from your hips, use your legs and keep your kid close to you. Do not pick your kid up with your arms outstretched. Kneel or squat where possible. When carrying your kid, try not to lift for long periods on just one side. Always lift and then turn. Never twist whilst lifting. Pay attention to your fitness - work on your core and strengthen your abdominal muscles and pelvic floor. This is important to improve your posture and reduce back pain. Take a break when and if possible. Try applying a heat pack when there is tightness or stiffness or nagging pain. A massage is a great way to relax and unwind whilst relieving your sore muscles.

You should let our baby involved in physical activities like tummy time as that would induce crawling in help baby and that would help him standing and then walking. His weight will even out.
