Q.

My 8M old asks for night feed very often he sleeps only if he sucks and keeps on finding for breastfeeds. is this normal? How can I get rid of this. He keeps on sucking even in his sleep.

A. Does this not become a habit for a baby. how can I make him sleep on his own without finding for feeds at night

A. Some babies cluster feed at night not because they're hungry, but because it's comforting. Since feeding is also frequently a part of the nighttime routine, the combination of skin-on-skin contact, eating, and snuggling can be soothing to them which can help them fall asleep for a longer period of time.
