Q.

my 8 months old daughter resists putting to sleep at night. even though she can go to sleep herself during the day, we have a hard time putting her to sleep at night. she will not sleep by herself and will cry. however, she will sleep within a matter of 15-20 mins, but until then, it is very difficult to contain her. we have tried putting her to sleep any time after 10.30 pm, every time we have the same problem. pls suggest a resolution. thanks.

A. Sleep Cycle in smaller babies is very different and they have a certain pattern initially which becomes regularize at around 6 to 8 months of age and if the baby is comfortable with no irritability because of infantile colic nasal blockaged any regfurgitation etc you should not worry just give a comfortable position to the baby and no medicine is required.
