Q.

my 8 month old baby is going through teething process... he is having stoools frequently not watery stool though....and intermittent fever... what is to be done???

A. frequently passing motions after meals is generally seen and is normal in children unless it is associated with some chronic infection like amoebiasis or may be indigestion or could be habitual also .so it needs proper assessment to rule out the cause, but if the smell,colour and consistency of the motion is more orless normal and there is no other problem like fever or vomiting you shouoweld not worry for now . you can give probiotic enterogermina probiotic 2 times a day and consult doctor for proper treatment if problem continues.

A. hi no teething can not cause fever. it can just raise body temperature so first measure the temperature,if it is 100f or above ,it indicates that your child is probably sick. please keep your child well hydrated give natural probiotics like fresh curd buttermilk etc more stop giving new food items maintain good hygiene using Babyhug multipurpose cleaner and sanitizer
