Q.
MY 78 DAY old baby is sleeping alot nowadays.He.is taking less milk also.What may be the reason for this?

ExpertDr. Pandurang sawantPaediatrician1 Year agoA. keep a watch for urine output baby should pass urine minimum 6-8 times Sleep pattern varies from baby to baby Generally baby sleep for 14-16 hrs at this age Keep a watch on urine output Baby should pass urine minimum 6-8 times per day Feed properly before sleep to ur baby Switch off or dim light before sleep Sing a song or cuddle ur baby Check and change urine and motion immediately after passing it Baby commonly wakes up 2-3 times at night for feed

Sometimes when kids do not sleep for a longer duration right after birth for initial initial 60 days slowly the pattern changes as the age progresses they sleep a little moon and that is very normal there is no problem yet if you want you can consult your paediatrician once for physical assessment
