Definitely it is not advisable to give gripe water on a regular basis. If ur baby has indigestion or colic issues then please consult with ur pediatrician and follow his advice on this. Actually Some babies pass stools once in four or five days while some pass even more than five times a day which are perfectly normal in breastfed babies. Touch and feel the baby's tummy. If it's hard or the baby is cranky or crying more than usual then u should consult with ur pediatrician. If not u can wait upto seven days. Lay the baby on the back and pedal her legs if in case there was any gas it will be released smoothly. Apply a paste of Hing mixed with water around the baby's navel area gently. All these will help to release the gas without much pain.
