Q.

My 5 week old baby is not sleeping the requisite hours On a good day she sleeps around 12 hrs and on a bad one around 9 hrs. It’s a struggle to get her to nap in the day. We keep walking and rocking her but the moment we place her in her crib she wakes up and fusses.. the slightest sound also startles her At nights she wakes roughly every 3 hrs for feeding How do we get her to sleep

A. Most babies are receptive and able to start a bedtime routine at around 6 to 8 weeks. Having a newborn bedtime routine helps to calm your baby and eases them to a good night's sleep.
