Q.
my 5 month old is both on bm and fm and hasn't pooped from 3 days, she is passing gas and grunting. I am worried what can be done?

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children1 Year agoA. Constipation in Babies less than 1 year is very common and more in formula fed babies and also wgyhen initially the semi solid food has been started after 6 months . you can give bonnisan drops and some enzyme preparations in pryoper dose suggested by doctor and cow's milk should be avoided before 1 year of age . Medications are required but it should be given only in medical supervision .

Pooping can happen within 7 to 10 days also for a lot of kids as constipation is normal in this age but if your child is having this comfort you can insert an enema into the anus of your child is going to clear the system within 5 to 6 hours for your child
