my 5 month baby stool in dark green color .what is the reason behind it?

ExpertDr.Rasika ThosarPaediatric Intensivist7 years agoA. it can be due to teething weaning foods, if bottle feeding maintain sterility as its a common source of infection.
in formula feeding it's normal.
if Breastfeeding feed longer at each breast.
consult pediatrician for examination and treatment if excessivley watery or foul smelling

ExpertDr. Hemendra GuptaPaediatrician7 years agoA. in case of motions consistency matters rather than the frequency and color of the stool. if your child is comfortable and accepting feeds and passing urine and the consistency of stool is normal then nothing to worry about this

Sneha PuruswaniMom of 2 children7 years agoA. Drink lots of water and also drink a glass of water before feeding the baby. Green poop is normal in formula fed babies or could be imbalance of foremilk and hindmilk feed the baby well on one side till empty so that the baby gets hind milk too and then switch to the other side or could be due to iron supplements check and consult a paediatrician and he will guide you better after examination and analysis
