Q.

My 5 month 11 days son is having lose motions from past 4-5 days. In addition he is also teething, I can see his gums are swollen. He is taking formula milk but reluctant to take mother milk for over a week now. Can teething cause lose motions or is it related in any way? Should I make any change in his diet to control the lose motions? There is no change in the level of activity or crankiness though. Please suggest.

A. Hello dear parent! Gently press your child’s gums with a soft cotton cloth dipped in cold water to reduce teething discomfort. Use Babyhug teethers and soothers. Continue feeding your baby well on demand. Consult your child’s doctor for advice. Good luck and take care.
