Q.

My 5.5 month old kid has started rejecting the formula feed. He is on formula feed (Similac Plus 1) from beginning and suddenly from last 2 days started rejecting the feed and not letting us feed. I tried changing the formula also ( from Similac plus to Lactogen 1 as per Paediatrician advise ) but still no luck. Is it safe to fed the pasteurized milk (Nandini /Heritage/Amul) to 5.5 month old kid? What should be my course of action?

A. first meet the dr for growth assessment. if growth and weight gain is adequate then no need to worry about milk intake. weight gain usually decrease withs increasing age of the child. if urine output is more than 7 to 8 times per day and child is playful overall then no need to worry much. see for oral thrushs, ulcer , teething pain, discomfort, fever cold , colic which might be affecting the milk intake
