A. If your 4-month-old baby hasn't pooped for five days, it could be a sign of constipation, but it can also be normal for some babies, especially if they are breastfed. Breast milk is highly digestible, and some babies can go several days without pooping. However, if your baby seems uncomfortable, fussy, or is straining without producing stool, you may want to try the following: 1. Bicycle legs: Gently move your baby's legs in a cycling motion to help relieve any gas or constipation. 2. Tummy massage: Gently massage your baby's tummy in a clockwise motion to encourage bowel movement. 3. Warm bath: A warm bath may help relax your baby's tummy muscles and promote bowel movement. If your baby still doesn't poop, or if you notice other symptoms like discomfort, vomiting, or a distended abdomen, it’s important to consult with a pediatrician for further advice and potential treatment.
