Q.
My 4month old baby was given Noctura syrup 3ml in night daily for changing sleep pattern, after completion on 1bottle in 1month now he is unable to sleep ,cries a lot when he feel sleepy.... Pls help me how to make mi baby to fall asleep without cry??? And can i use another Noctura syrup bottle

ExpertDr. Swapnil SaxenaAyurvedic Physician6 years agoA. hi no you should not use medication for making your baby sleep Common causes of crying or sleeplessness in babies could include hunger, colic or gases, ear ache, feeling too cold or too warm, uneasiness in full diaper, itching, lying in one position for too long causing discomfort , teething troubles, or too tiredness. Sometimes its the darkness in the room that scares them and they need to be cuddled. They need physical contact and reassurance to comfort them. Try to meet all the immediate needs of the baby to calm them down and comfort them. Massage their tummy in clockwise direction to help release gases and the touch will soothe them.

priyanka aroraMom of a 10 yr 9 m old boy6 years agoA. before you should never use any medicine to make your baby sleep because its addiction only which will later on get very difficult to remove as you are saying your baby is already addicted to that medicine try to make him sleep without medicines give him light massage switch off the lights use soft music try to divert his mind and make him sleep you can use cradle carry COT and then make him sleep it will take some time and it will take some months also but you have to take some patience s and avoid using any medicine
