Q.

My 4 months old son is losing lot of his hair. Whenever he touches the head minimum three to four hairs are coming out. What may be the reason and is there any need to worry sir?

A. though it's considered as a normal finding in some children still I would suggest you to consult a pediatrician to have a detailed physical examination of your child to rule out any organic problems

A. Hi,In the first six months after birth, a child will lose what is known as birth hair. This is the hair that a baby is born with, and this hair is meant to fall off. Nothing to worry about. If the hair fall is excessive and not related to the baby’s birth hair, it might be a cause of concern. In such situation, consult with your pediatrician.
