Hello parents , If your newborn baby is constantly sucking on their hands and you think it's a hunger cue, you may want to talk to your pediatrician as well. It's possible that your baby isn't getting as much breast milk as you think, leaving them hungry all the time, or that there's a problem with their latch or sucking reflex. Talk about not wanting to put my thumbs in my mouth! Offering praise and rewards (not food that will reinforce that oral need) for not sucking his thumb may also help your child break the habit. For example, put stickers on a calendar each day that your child doesn't suck his or her thumb.
