Q.

My 3 years old having loose stool from 2 days. 3rd day also continuing with green mushy and mucus stool. Doc has said it's viral AGE and also prescribed antibiotics. Should I start giving antibiotics even if it's viral? Please suggest I am confused

A. Viral can take 3 to 5 days to subside to a week and what your doctor suggesting is very normal so continue with the treatment yet if your child does not get better despite of completing the course and the motion is continuously happening you should get examined for a stool test for better clarity on the situation
