Q.

My 3 year old baby boy doesn't tell me that when do he needs to go for potty and poops always in his panty. I have tried many times to make him sit on the pot, but the results are not favourable. he always denies to sit on the pot. please suggest any remedy so that I can make him learn to tell me the same.

A. potty training and toilet training should be initiated as soon as the child completes one and half years of age. avoid before that except if you feel that the child is giving cues when he or she wants to pass stool. also good demonstration has to be given again and again to the child to to to reinforce the habit. make the child sit on potty seat daily so that the child gets accustomed and not fearful of the seat and situation kindly go through various articles on potty training on firstcry.

A. hi make this transition stress free. I mean don't create chaos if a child is not able to tell you . it is gradual learning process. so stay calm consistent and positive. don't expect that a child must learn it within some days. encourage your child by giving positive reward like sticker of star smiles etc. don't scold or yell at your child . buy special potty seat as per your child choice , especially which comes with cartoon character or color full images. I would suggest Babyhug brand potty seat. understand the signs and try to take your child for washroom . but don't force your child.
