Q.

My 3½ months old daughter has been vacinited on 8th July at 12 pm. At evening her body temp was increased by 101' and I was given 2.5 ml of Paracetamol oral suspension. 1st dose at 8pm. 2nd dose at 2am 3rd dose at 9am Now again body temp increased by 101 Pls suggest

A. Fever is when the temperature of the body goes above 99 degree fahrenheit and the safest medicine in such situation is paracetamol which can be repeated after 6 hours agjfain if required in a proper dose . Alternative medicine can also be tried if required like ibuprofen and mefenamic acid preparations. cold sponging of the whole body with tap water can be beneficial too to bring the temperature down .

A. U Can I again repeat the medicine because you can keep a gap of minimum six hours in between two dosages of the medicine so you can give it right now the fever will probably subside in a day or two it does not last for more than 48 hours in general cases
