Q.

My 3 month old baby is unable to poop out. I need to put medicine to release.. as he is unable to sleep properly.

A. straining while passing stool as well as urine is normal. the child is crying due to colic pain (due to gas) and not due to the reason that the child has not passed the stool. infants may not pass stool for 10 days also and if the consistency of the stool is semi solid to solid4 it is not constipation. you can consider constipation only if it is hard and dry stools. you can give anticolic medicines and meet your doctor. burping / upright position5 for 20 minutes will help in decreasing the gas and future colic pain
