Q.
My 3.9 year old daughter swallowed piece of egg shell accidentally. She complained throat pain for a while and tried to vomit out but couldn't and when I gave her water. after sometime she was ok. I hope there is no internal injury inside throat and digestive tract. Should I see some doctor. kindly help.

ExpertDr.Rasika ThosarPaediatric Intensivist6 years agoA. it's ok . it will be thrown out in the stools. but next time take very good care so baby doesn't swallow anything abnormal. watch for nausea, vomitting, indigestion, diarrhoea, breathing difficulty, if present consult pediatrician.

Nihita mittalMom of a 8 yr old boy6 years agoA. I would recommend you to visit your doctor for a checkup just to be on the safe side whenever the child falls down and vomits after that it is better to check for internal injury
