Q.
My 3.5 yr daughter eats nails, her hand is mostly in her mouth. I give her iron and calcium for PICA but she still does the same. she has allergic cough and cold all the time. kindly guide me about how to approach the issue.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children1 Year agoA. this is basically because of iron deficiency anaemia and you have to give iron supplementation at least for 6 months so do not give it by yourself consult your doctor

Neem oil you should add into a transparent nail paint and then you should make your child have that you put it onto the nail even when the child is going to take it due to the bitter taste I’m very certain the child is going to give up onto this habit otherwise you can check with your doctor regarding the situation
