Q.

my 3.5 month old baby losing blood in stool. Stool test done which shows put cells 12-16 and RBC 0-1. doctor said he has infection and started with Taxim O 1.5 my for 5 days. Still I can see mild streak in stool and off. Another paediatrician said nothing needs to be worried, kids may have blood in stool sometimes and if there is no fever then to neglect it. I'm so much worried what is your opinion. I have attached photo of his stool showing blood, as of now there is only mild streak occasionally seen in stool.

A. that's correct, of no fever, n streak are occationally than nothing to worry. Occasionally, blood in the stool may be due to breastmilk oversupply. If mom has a cracked nipple or other bleeding, then baby may ingest some blood from mom (this is not harmful to baby), which may show up in baby’s stool.

A. Main blood in the motion is always a sign for stomach infection you should know that now and it is better to go for cab course of antibiotics as that is going to be important otherwise the doctor would have never advise you to go for it could you please go ahead with what your previous offer has advised you toWrite Your Answer Here
