Q.

my 20 months old son is underweight like 8.9 kg.. doctor has prescubed vitamin. iron and calcium syrup... is it ok.. and what should be the daily diet to gain his weight

A. minimum 9.1 kg of weight is, required . continue with all prescribed supplement. Give protein rich diet...as protien is building unit of our body. Like- all pulses, eggs, all milk and milk products, banana, youghrt, beans, chickpeas, tofu, nuts.These foods are important for your child’s bone growth, muscle development and stimulate body growth.
